Closing of the twinning project of the Bureau of Metrology and the Czech Metrological Institute

On November 1, 2017, with the ceremony in the EU InfoCentre in Skopje, the completion of the Twinning Light project “Strengthening the capacities of the Bureau of metrology for integration of the internal market”, funded by the IPA TAIB 2012 program, was marked.
Through this project, in which the Czech Metrological Institute participated as a twinning partner, the Czech experience was shared over the past eight months in the direction of improving the capacities of the employees of the Bureau of Metrology, which involved a series of training’s for increasing the competence of the employees in the metrology laboratories in The Bureau of metrology and thematic workshops to bring the Bureau closer to the Macedonian business entities, as well as to transfer the European experiences in the application of the results in the field of metrology .
At the same time this enabled support in the recalibration of metrological equipment.
This twinning project was realized thanks to the funds from the European funds and was primarily aimed at strengthening the capacities of the Bureau of metrology, but it also played a key role in the process of adoption and harmonization of the national technical legislation with that of the European Union.
